WE NEED YOUR VOTE. MAKE THE REDLANDS BICYCLE CLASSIC #1 IN THE USA.

Redlands Bicycle Classic - USA Today

REDLANDS, Calif. – Over its 38-year history, the Redlands Bicycle Classic has
been considered the longest, continuously running invitational stage race event for
cyclists in American racing with its fields of men and women riders composed of current
and future stars of the sport. The nonprofit event is comprised of an all-volunteer team
of over 400 individuals, another milestone among national events.

The five-day event, which runs April 10-14, 2024, in and around the city some 60
miles east of Los Angeles, draws thousands of spectators as well as hundreds of
participants each year at both professional and amateur levels.

In order to expand on that popularity, the organizing committee is asking people
who have attended or participated in some way in the Bicycle Classic to vote for it as
part of the 2024 “10 Best Road Cycling Events” in a poll sponsored by USA TODAY, a
national newspaper.

Right now, the Redlands event is listed in the top 10 but organizers believe it
should be at least in the top three, if not number 1.

Some of the events listed in the current poll are just fun rides or amateur races.
Redlands has it all. In addition to five days of racing for the professional men and
women, there is a three-day junior stage race, free public youth races with over 500
participants, fun rides and amateur criteriums. There is a robust host housing program
for all teams and teams visit of thirty local schools, promoting cycling and the weekend’s
events. Redlands certainly has a proven track record to be considered one of the top
cycling attractions in the nation.
